ASA Course Requirements
ASA Certification requires that you become a member of ASA. ASA annual discounted rate of $59.
ASA requires each certification course that students use ASA textbooks. We recommend purchasing the printed bundled package (101,103, 104 textbooks) for $96.12. Purchased directly through ASA . It would be best to purchase textbooks one month before the start of the course to give students enough time to read the text and complete chapter reviews on each course.
Upon arrival, one log book will be issued to each enrolled student. Upon successful completion of course(s), the student will need to purchase the sticker of course certification for their log book. The cost is $150/successfully completed course. This amount is payable to Port Of Call Charters and the stickers will be sent directly to the student from ASA. This typically takes 3 to 4 week to process. Certifications and test results will be held in student’s permanent ASA record.
103,104,114 – Require meal planning and provisioning. A trip to the grocery store where students shop together and share the expense of the provisioning.
